For the class that just finished up (1 Nov 19), 34 total candidates were picked up. Starting number of candidates was 105. That's a 32% graduation rate (or 68% fail rate).

Of note, a female CCT applicant completed A&S, but was not picked up.

Difficult to analyze as fail rate and not picked-up (passed, but not selected) is something relatively new for those entering (starting assessment) training immediately after completing Basic Military Training (BMT). However, the larger population of those who failed from what little that has been disclosed to me, appears to be those who elected to voluntarily self eliminate (remove) themselves from training.

Until recently the not picked-up was unique to the assessment and selection of those attempting to cross train out of current awarded AFSC (enlisted occupation specialty). This was result of having more applicants than open career positions to put them in. A situation not applicable to those entering training with a GTEP enlistment contract as the report to BMT doesn't happen until the open position exists to match them against. It was ether pass, fail, or SIE for those entering training with a GTEP enlistment contract.

A majority of those who self eliminated was by day three i believe. With new data and feedback from each A&S class they differ in exact comparison to the ones before but overall still assess you in the components necessary to be successful in the pipeline and job. Regardless of the reason candidates self eliminated there were some who completed the course that were not the strongest in all events. Those candidates had the mental grit and fortitude to carry on the day one event at a time.
